3 Terrific Ways to Show Your Wardrobe Some Love

Hi friends! As I write this, we are all quarantined because of Covid-19 and I truly hope that you’re staying healthy and safe. Since we can’t leave our homes right now, it can be easy for the days to I’ve got to start blending together. That’s why I think that it is super important to do something each day that makes it stand out from the day before. So, for my first blog post here, I thought I’d share 3 Terrific Ways to Show Your Wardrobe Some Love since we have a little bit more down time than before :)

1. Have a Try-On Session

I don’t know about you but one of my favorite things to do whenever I get home from shopping (or receive my online order) is to try everything on and play dress up. It allows me to get creative and find multiple ways to style those items with what I already have.

Pro Tip: As you come up with outfit combinations that you like, take a photo so that you can reference it when you’re getting ready in the future!

2. Start Editing Your Wardrobe

Try on sessions are the perfect way to show your closet some love because it serves as a process for helping you rediscover your wardrobe. By trying on your favorites (and non-favorites), you can begin to see which pieces don’t align with your style goals and then begin the process of editing. A wardrobe edit is when you sort through your clothing to decide what you’re going to keep, donate and phase out.

3. Order Matching Hangers + Organize Your Clothing

Once you’ve had your try-on session and edited your wardrobe, it’s time to get started on the aesthetic! If you want to feel inspired when you’re getting ready, it doesn’t hurt to have a visibly inspiring wardrobe, am I right?! For me, that includes having matching hangers and color coordinating my clothes. A few years ago, I got tired of having five different types of hangers in my closet and decided that I wanted my wardrobe to feel like my own little boutique. After editing my wardrobe, I counted every top that I had on a hanger and ordered that number of wooden hangers from Target. It’s been four years since that purchase and I still get excited whenever I look at my closet! Here is a set of hangers that is very similar to what I use.

Pro Tip: If you don’t want to continue buying new hangers whenever you add something new to your wardrobe, invoke the one in out method!
